A Rotary Club is where Rotarians contribute the most both locally and internationally. What a member gets out of a club depends greatly on what they put into it. It is important to view your club not only as a place of local connections, but more importantly as a place of service. The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

  1. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service.
  2. High ethical standards in business and profession; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, as the dignifying by each Rotarian of his occupation as an opportunity to serve society.
  3. Application of the ideal of service by every Rotarian to his personal business, and community.
  4. The advancement of international understanding, good will, and peace throughout a world fellowship of business and professional men united in the ideal of service.

Wenatchee Rotary lives "service above self." Rotary is an oasis, if you will. Why? Our service activities, our love for community, the absolutely most friendly atmosphere, our programs; in short, our members.

Best club in area – very active club – do most for the community, $, and labor! Have great programs weekly. Have opportunity to volunteer – sell raffle tickets, help rebuild homes, build new homes, help refurbish community building. Builds friendship.

I believe this club is a great opportunity for many people, however I don't think all people are right for Rotary. I only encourage people who are do-ers to become involved. I love what we stand for! Our Rotary Club is like a second family to me. I'm always eager to introduce others to our club. I'm proud to be a Rotarian! This is a great club to be part of. I am proud to be a Wenatchee Rotarian. As a new member of Rotary I am enjoying my first year. Great people, feel very welcome and I'm having fun!

- Louisa Mora

Our club has been blessed with leadership over the years of some outstanding and exceptional people. These Rotarians inspire and motivate. Thus, their legacies push out club in the direction exemplified by our founder, Paul Harris.

- Dick Harris

"10" - Nothing is perfect. I have been a member of many, many organizations over the years and none compare to Rotary. There is opportunity for individuals to be individuals and still work towards common goals, for the betterment of all involved. I have worked on dozens of projects in my 31 years in Rotary, some I voted for, some against. I supported all of them. Rotarians in our club are good and committed people trying to make a difference in the world. What more worthy goal can we have? We support our youth, our aged and those in between. We respond to needs, large and small all around the globe. We have fun and enjoy fellowship with others of like mind. It is who we are and what we stand for. Rotary is about as perfect as it gets for me. Have fun in Rotary!

- John McDarment

I feel that "service" in service clubs means just that. I was extremely impressed with the breadth of service in the club (WSHS) and it was the primary reason why I joined. Hands on service builds Fellowship as well as makes our community a better place.
