Terrance L. "Terry" Stuller
Terry joined our Rotary club in 1980, sponsored by Past President and Past District Governor Ray Shutt. He comes from good Rotary stock, as both Terry's father and his grandfather were Rotarians in New Philadelphia, Ohio, where he was born. He graduated from High School in that city and went on to Atlanta, GA to study and become an Industrial Engineer. He joined ALCOA, but didn't last long in that profession and switched careers, moving into Personnel.
Terry and his wife Karen (high school sweethearts, can you believe) and their two children, Dana and Randy, drove to Wenatchee in 1980 through white ash after ALCOA transferred him here from Texas to be the Personnel Manager at the Wenatchee aluminum plant near Malaga.
..."You may have seen or heard the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, announcing my impending transfer to the state of Washington!"
During that period of time their family has grown with the addition of three grandchildren.
Terry served as President of our club during the years of 1998-99. During his term Rotary Auction Co-chairs Pete VanWell and John McDarment coordinated one of our club's largest fund raising efforts, collecting in excess of $90,000, the net proceeds of which were designated for the children's steam train at the park. A proud accomplishment of all Wenatchee Rotarians. This year, Terry was one of the presenters for RYLA, Rotary Youth Leadership conference, in Naramata, B.C.
In 1996 Terry formed his own firm, HUMAN RESOURCES CONSULTING, and consults with management on the people side of their enterprises. He has been and continues to be active in other community activities in our area. He said his biggest Rotary surprise was when Karen presented him with a Paul Harris Fellow, which was the highlight of his roast as past President of our club.
