Daryl Ferguson

Daryl was born in Wenatchee and grew up in the Methow Valley, attending school in Twisp. He also is a proud alumni of Wenatchee Valley College, graduating in 1974.

His professional career started in 1975 as an insurance agent in the Brewster, Pateros areas where he owned Full Service Insurance Agency. He continued there until he sold this business and moved to Wenatchee in 1987, to manage the R. S. Meenach Agency which is now known as Marsh Advantage America.

Daryl specializes in the development of agricultural insurance products and commercial insurance. Daryl was president of Independent Insurace Agents of Chelan and Douglas Counties in 1990 and 1991 and was a Board Member of Independent Agents and Brokers in 1991 and 1993.

Community involvement has always been one of Daryl's highest priorities, including:

• Past Board of Directors of Washington State Apple Blossom Festival
• United Way Committee Member
• Toys For Kids
• Past Board of Directors of Wenatchee Rotary

Regarding Rotary, Daryl comments:"I was very honored, in 1991, to be proposed for Rotary by Joe Welty, a true Rotarian in every way. I think we have a great Rotary club and enjoy the rewarding fellowship with other Rotarians. I enjoy getting involved in the Club." Daryl is a Paul Scea Sustaining Member.

Daryl is married to Kim and they enjoy their two children:

• Preston, who is 9
• Lauren, who is 8

Daryl's older son Jason, 25, lives in Charlotte, N.C. and works in the advertising business. "I am very proud of my famaily.. They are the true joy of my life."

Daryl's favorite hobbies are outdoor activities with his family, which include:

• Water Skiing
• Golf
• Fishing
• Snow skiing
• Snowmobiling
• Boating

The Fergusons enjoy time at Lake Chelan and spending time with their family and friends.
