FORD HOXSEY BARRETT

Ford Barrett is a certified financial planner and investment advisor with Financial Alternatives in Wenatchee, Washington. His primary professional focus is on retirement planning and estate transfer. He specializes in the use of equities and fixed income investments within retirement plans to develop healthy portfolios to sustain people through their senior years. Barrett also presents the popular Successful Money Management Seminar in central Washington community colleges and for businesses. He is routinely asked by Washington State's Department of Retirement Systems to address state employees on financial planning in preparation for retirement.

Barrett earned his BA from Washington State University and MA from the State University of New York. He is a graduate of the College for Financial Planning and has been chartered by that institution as a retirement planning counselor. Barrett serves on the board of directors for both the Wenatchee Valley College Foundation and the Wenatchee Rotary Club, and he is a past director of the Wenatchee Chamber of Commerce. He is the president of the Wenatchee North Neighbors Association. He serves as the director of the Washington State University Alumni in North Central Washington and is active in the Sigma Nu Fraternity Alumni.

Barrett retired from the United States Air Force, where he served as an aviator, aviation leader, and staff officer. He and his wife, Marlys, an educator at Wenatchee Valley College, live in Wenatchee. They have two grown children and several grandchildren.
